Project Description: The Elora Festival Singers needed their latest CD package put together.  Quiet City Design was asked to give the text-heavy booklet a creative presentation, and develop the other elements of the package into a cohesive unit.

Requirements: Given the cover illustration and extensive text, the challenge was in laying out the booklet with a creative touch.  Incorporating the cover image somehow into the rest of package was important.  With the annual Elora Festival starting in July, meeting the deadline for production was crucial.

Components: The insert jacket expanded into a 16-page booklet featured a biographical sketch of the choir, artistic director Noel Edison, and accompanist Michael Bloss. All lyrics to the carols and songs on the CD were organized into columns to economize page real estate.  Text formatting was given special attention for consistency through each composition.

The cover image and titles were compiled by Elora artist, Shirley Al.  To tie the package together, the CD label used the center of the image in close focus. The contrast here between the colourful stained glass window image and the black barckground enhanced the revelation of the CD when the listener opens the jewel case.
