GPC – Gala Fundraiser Website

GPC Gala Mini-siteProject Description: The Grand Philharmonic Choir, located in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario, introduced a Gala Fundraiser event into there concert season.  The inaugural event features a pre-concert dinner and staged performance of Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow. Special guests and celebrities will participate in the concert.

Requirements: To maximize the exposure and promotion of the fundraiser, GPC required a website to direct sponsors, media and general public attention.  The Gala website was to be built on the existing Grand Philharmonic Choir website, but behave and appear independently from the parent site.

Components: The website is content-driven, so an efficient file and folder infrastructure was needed to handle the many pages.  PHP includes and CSS made centralizing common elements easy to manage, as well as enable future updating and site-wide changes without touching the individual page content.

The illustration artwork on the left of each page is fixed in place, remaining in the top-left corner as long pages scroll downwards.

[Due to fiscal restraints, the Gala event has been cancelled, and the website taken offline.]
