Project Description: After graduating from Sheridan College in 2009 with an already impressive resume of stage and screen appearances, singer, actor and dancer Kathryn Ballantine needed an equally dramatic website to promote herself and connect with others.

Requirements: Kathryn needed a site which reflected her personality and professional ambitions for the arts.  She also needed something that was easy to maintain and expand to keep up with her career and schedule.  The site would be the collection of photos, video clips, news announcements, bookings, and any other elements related to her career.

Components: This is the first professionally developed  site built exclusively within the WordPress system.  The website is a live work-in-progress, enabling Kathryn to manage all content within a custom theme, while further enhancements, widgets and development tools are being essembled.

The main navigation is built with Cascading Style Sheets using the Fahrner Image Replacement technique, adding a greater level of accessibility.  All textures and graphics are styled containers using CSS for simple updating.

Future elements on the site will include e-commerce for music files and CDs, interactive messaging and social networking.
