NTIM Monster Concert Logo
Project Description: Mary Kenedi, Director of the North Toronto Institute of Music, needed a strong logo design to capture the essence of a special concert fundraiser. The Monster Concert features 10 grand pianos and up to 30 performers on stage, benefitting SickKids Foundation.
Requirements: The event was, by it’s historical development, already branded as a “monster concert”. To make it a fun family event, the concert will be scheduled on Halloween day, and children will be invited to wear their costumes to Massey Hall.
The logo will be used in a variety of applications, including print stationery, newspaper and handbill ads, posters, flyers and web and email layouts.
Components: The logo reflects the kid-centered focus on the benefit concert, with two opposing grand pianos forming the head of a mysterious monster. Budget restrains mean most reproduction of the logo will be through on-demand desktop publishing or digital printing. A white or light green background makes DIY publication easier for the client, while giving the logo a maximum contrasting impact.
