Project Description: Carswell, a Thomson Rueters company, needed a visual indication of its observance of Remembrance Day.  An attractive and inspiring design was required to display throughout the office building.

Requirements: Remembrance Day during a time of unrest in various places in the world needed a sensitive approach.  Posters were to be set on easels around the building, in high foot traffic areas.  The design needed to be bold enough to draw the eye, emotional enough to evoke a sense of importance for the day, but tender enough to provide hope for peace in current tensions around the world.

Components: Simple white negative space around a vibrant poppy flower macro image composed the tone of the design. Posters were printed directly onto 1/4″ Styrene boards at 24″x36″.  Six posters were produced, with a simple message about Thomson Rueter’s observation of Remembrance Day.  No specific date information was included, to allow for reuse of the posters year after year.
